REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL – OCTOBER 20, 2026
FINANCIAL AUDIT
Johnson County Fire Protection District #2 is requesting proposals from qualified certified public accounting firms to audit the District’s financial statements for three (3) years, starting with fiscal year ending December 31, 2026. The vendor must guarantee the quoted prices for a period of three years. The District reserves the right to terminate the contract for any violation, by the successful bidder, of any term or condition of the contract by giving thirty (30) days written notice stating the reasons therefore and giving the party time to remedy any deficiencies. The audits are to be performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards meeting applicable federal, state and local audit requirements. The bid proposal shall present all-inclusive audit fees for each year of the contract term.
Scope of the work to be performed:
The District’s goal is to provide the public and constituents with a financial statement that gives complete, accurate and understandable information about the District’s financial condition. The selected auditor will be required to audit the financial accounts of the District in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles and issue an opinion thereon.
Background Information:
The District is a not-for-profit tax-based government entity providing fire suppression, public fire education and rescue services to the western one-third of Johnson County Missouri, excluding the city of Holden Missouri. The District is governed by a three-person Board of Directors. The District revenues include general tax revenues.

The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids as submitted and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the District.
